Whilst you can’t control the weather on your wedding day you can plan for it. Most wedding venues will have an undercover or indoor area that you can use for your ceremony and formal photos. Talk with the venue wedding coordinator about which options they have available.If you plan to have your formal wedding pictures outdoors do some research as to where you can go locally in the event of rain. Is there a park, surf club or veranda with some undercover shelter close to the reception venue? Prepare for the worst case scenario and buy some black or white umbrellas and appropriate footwear perhaps a pair of gum boots. Keep them in the car boot just in case!
Most professional wedding photographers will have camera equipment which is weather proof so this won’t bother them. Don’t let a little rain destroy your wedding day after all some of the best wedding photos can be taken in the rain as the light reflects nicely off it and can create some fantastic effects.
