When I was growing up whenever we had a spare weekend my dad Tibor (yes it’s a Hungarian name) use to always say “let’s go out on a photo safari”. Like most typical little boy I wasn’t really into photography and I’d think geez great just what I want to do! I think all I wanted to do was ride my bike or play basketball or the drums. Back then photography just didn’t seem that exciting.
Little did I know how much our little photo safari’s would help me understand f-stops, shutter speeds and all the fundamentals which you need to understand inside out before you even consider trying to be a wedding photographer.
Being a wedding photographer in Sydney is truly the best job in the world I get to meet phenomenal people who genuinely love each other and just want their big day to be full of fun and happiness. What drives me as a Sydney wedding photographer and really gets me excited is seeing my beautiful couples reactions when they see that one stunning photograph that just blows their socks off. For some couples it’s the photo of mum and dad crying at the ceremony for others it an epic sunset landscape at the reception venue that they can see hanging on their walls for years to come.
Over the years many brides and grooms have ask me about wedding day details what to do, when to do thing and the like. My response is always the same, your wedding day is about you and your partner so just make sure that you’re happy and comfortable which your choices. Just make sure that every choice that you make is one that you’re making for yourself not someone else. After all you only get one wedding day so make it amazing.
I know there are many photographers out there that have chosen this path for the perceived money that you can make but for me this is what it means to me being a Sydney wedding Photographer. If I can get that one shot that makes you turn into a raving fan then I’m one happy man and my job is done.
